They can, and they will, and they’re entitled to it. Otherwise, if BOTH policies are paying out, that’s “double dipping”, and your health carrier can ask YOU for reimbursement.

Even if the other guy was at fault, the health carrier will likely put a lien against any judgement you get against them - so the attorney gets paid first, the health carrier gets paid second, and you get whatever is left over.

But the doctors are the ones who are refusing your right to health care by insisting they get paid ungodly amounts for it. Insurance is just a way of trying to convince someone else to pay for healthcare you can’t afford. Voluntarily via private systems, or forcefully via singlepayer.

The car insurance company of the person who caused the accident is responsible for all medical bills as well.

I am currently settling a case myself. I was injured in an accident caused by someone else and his insurance is going to pay my health insurance back for the medical expenses.

Strangely enough insurance companies guage a policy holders premium rates based on their credit scores.. Normally this would considered “profiling” however, insurance companies have deep pockets, and powerful political connections allowing them to get away with this blatant discriminatory practice

Unfortunately, this is a situation that is becoming more and more relevant in today’s world. Health insurance costs are high now, but still climbing. Depending on where you live, it can START at around 100 dollars and up. The best thing I can suggest is to see a medical college clinic or training center.

Easy credit has fueled speculative booms, so our total debt (public + private) has spiraled to something like 430% of GDP. Plus the dollar’s status as the global reserve currency makes it easy to run deficits. Public education is junk in many states, producing low-income workers who are just happy to have a job. The Fed is probably unconstitutional and should be nationalized. All military and aerospace infrastructure should be nationalized to reduce corruption and waste.

To many people don’t want it I really have no clue why it dosen’t make any sense why you cant single payer healthcare England and France have had single payer healthcare since just after WWII and we cant have it because of the health insurance companies.
